Are your VZK products hypoallergenic?
All VZK products are dermatologically tested using recognized methods: Patch test, TEWL test, SPF test, and regular testing is conducted: stability test, microbiological test, health compliance test. They do not cause allergies or skin irritations. If you need additional advice – pharmacists are available to help you choose the ideal product for your skin type and condition.
Is there a VZK product suitable for oily skin that does not further dry out the face?
Products for oily and problematic skin effectively address excess sebum secretion and regulate various forms of acne. However, combining multiple products of similar composition can lead to the opposite effect – skin dryness. That’s why careful product selection is key. If your skin is oily but you want to avoid excessive drying, the VZK cleansing gel with salicylic acid gently cleanses and removes impurities without additional drying. You can also complement the routine with a prebiotic cream for normal/combination skin or a panthenol cream-gel. This way we regulate sebum while retaining moisture and the balance of the skin microbiome.
At what age is it advisable to begin anti-aging care, and with which products?
Anti-aging care can begin in your twenties, focusing primarily on hydration and sun protection, then gradually introducing hydrating serums (hyaluronic acid, panthenol, squalane) and gentle antioxidants (vitamin C, E). From the thirties, one may start introducing initial anti-aging ingredients such as retinoids, peptides, and AHAs. Genetics, skin condition, and texture should also be considered so that the overall care is consistent with all skin needs.
Which anti-wrinkle product do you recommend for extremely sensitive skin?
For extremely sensitive skin, it is important to choose products with as few potential irritants as possible and mild but effective active ingredients. The VZK Sensitive line contains squalane, panthenol, and bisabolol – excellent soothing ingredients. The CICA line helps skin recovery, calms redness and irritation, and the Hyaluron line restores hydration and softens wrinkles.
How to apply serum correctly and why is combining serum and cream important?
The purpose of a serum is to deliver active ingredients deep into the skin – it has a lightweight watery or gel texture and higher concentration – while a cream locks in moisture – being denser and more protective. Serum works quickly but cannot retain moisture on its own; thus combining serum and cream is much more effective. Apply serum morning and evening to clean, still damp skin using gentle tapping. Once the serum is absorbed, apply cream to complete the skincare step.
What percentage of retinol do VZK products contain, and how to properly introduce the Retinol line?
The VZK Retinol line consists of day and night creams, a serum, and anti-wrinkle products. The serum contains 0.05% Retinol and 2% Retinal complex, while the creams contain 0.05% Retinol and 1% Retinyl Palmitate. Although retinol is an excellent anti-aging ingredient, it can cause irritation at first use, so gradual introduction is advised to let skin adapt. Start with 2–3 times per week and gradually increase frequency to nightly use. Apply serum by gentle tapping, then apply cream. Avoid strong acids (AHA/BHA) in combination with retinol, and always use SPF during the day.
Which products do you recommend for sun-damaged skin?
Sun, wind, and external factors may adversely affect skin, leading to dryness, redness, and increased sensitivity. When red and dry patches occur, you must hydrate and strengthen the skin barrier. Use products containing ceramides, hyaluronic acid, lipids, as well as soothing ingredients like panthenol, allantoin, and aloe vera. VZK after-sun gel has a soothing effect, enriched with cucumber extract, panthenol, and allantoin.
How to use vitamin C and A serums when skin is exposed to sun, and is SPF mandatory?
Using antioxidants and retinoids during summer can lead to irritation, redness, or hyperpigmentation if not used properly. Vitamin C can be used in the morning and/or evening, but in the morning SPF is mandatory. Ideal routine: vitamin C serum, moisturizing cream, and SPF. Vitamin A (retinoids) should be used only at night because retinoids degrade in light and increase UV sensitivity. After cleansing and applying retinol serum, apply a cream. In the morning, always use SPF.
How to care for dry, cracked skin during winter?
Cold air and wind can greatly dry out skin and disrupt its protective barrier. As skin dries, it may redden, flake, and itch – so extra care is needed in winter. Ideal ingredients include hyaluronic acid, glycerin, squalane, panthenol, ceramides. In winter, richer formulas are often necessary. It’s recommended to shower with warm (not hot) water, avoid harsh rubbing – instead, tap dry with a towel. While the skin is still damp, apply thick hydrating, nourishing, and emollient creams or balms.
Is it safe to use a cream after its expiration date?
It is not recommended. Many ingredients such as retinol, vitamin C, or hyaluronic acid may lose stability and effectiveness after expiration. Moreover, if the cream is not properly stored, microbial growth can occur, negatively affecting skin. If the cream changes texture, smell, or color – it’s time to replace it. Only correct, unexpired products can provide maximal effects and contribute to your skin’s beauty and health.
